Your point is irrelevant because this thread isn't about how BBUK got successful or why it isn't successful anymore, it's an 'it could be worse' thread and showing that the show isn't as manipulated as it could be. Nobody is saying it isn't manipulated, and the OP isn't saying the show is still at it's peak quality-wise or anything like that.

It's clearly a thread trying to defend the show. But if you can only defend something by saying "It could be worse..." then the show is rotting anyway.
