I tend to think of 'sweet' as this like childlike innocence where glitter just pours out of every orifice and not really as a compliment, which is why I don't really consider Ashleigh sweet. That's not to say I don't think she's a nice or caring person though.

I think out of the house away from Helen and her nasty gang she is sweet caring person. Being trapped with Helen brings out the coping mechanism. It is easier to defend yourself if you fight back rather than carry on being sweet and caring.

Yeah, I know, that's why I don't like people calling the Ashleigh/Chris/Christopher crew 'miserable' because it's not surprising. The other crew normally have stupid smug grins on their faces because they like making everyone else miserable, but they're the miserable ones in my eyes :P
