And even if she was being fake, why do people care? I've never understood this. Why did people care about Danielle's lies? Mark's supposed acting up to the cameras? And now this? Why does it matter? So long as they're contributing to the show does it really matter whether they're being genuine or not this is a TV show, a gameshow. If they decide to lie and be fake that's their prerogative, it says nothing about them as a person in real life
Jesus christ, people are discussing it. Shall we just not discuss any of it, because who cares they're putting on a show. Let's not actually observe their behaviour and talk about. Just accept it, it's "entertaining". Seesh.

Yes, it can be entertaining, doesn't mean it can't be discussed and called fake or whatever. If it's fake then it is whether it's entertaining or not.

I have no problem with people discussing whether housemates are being genuine or not - that is what the show is all about - it's them being criticised or slated for that that I see as the problem. That was my point.

Why shouldn't they be criticised? We watch and we laugh at the funny stuff, ridicule the embarrassing stuff, call out the nasty stuff, criticise/praise where fit. That's the aim of discussing.

I don't really see the need in saying "but it's entertaining" every time someone's behaviour is discussed negatively.

Because I don't see what the problem is with lying and being fake on a television gameshow. It's not real life so it says nothing about what they're like as people on the outside. If that's how they want to be then fine, it's whether or not they can make it entertaining or not that is what should be discussed and criticised. I never said 'it's entertaining' flat out, I said 'so long as it's entertaining'. If people think it isn't then fine - that can be debated - but I don't see the need to criticise housemates specifically for lying or being fake as if it's some awful thing on a TV show with a cash prize at the end.
