The only argument I guess is that the Queen brings in more money from tourism but Dee and the royal family are both tax scroungers tbh.

Exactly. The benefit system needs reform so people who need it can live until they get back on their feet, and people who don't need it (monarch) don't receive the benefits.

I literally knew this would turn into a debate about benefits when it wasn't supposed to be this.

Dee didn't exactly ask to be portrayed as she was on Benefits Street, and certainly didn't realize that's what Channel 4 were going to do. Just because she's on benefits doesn't mean she's a bad person. What about the people on benefits who truly are struggling and need it? She was most likely one of them who was struggling, and wasn't one of those people who claim thousands of pounds in benefits every year just so their kids can have iPhones, PS4's and the best branded clothes.

She had a good and respectful job at Birmingham City Council and was sacked, and was unable to find anymore work. Really, Benefits Street has helped her and since the show has come off benefits and is now working in the media thanks to the attention she's being given. Good on her.

The Monarchy mean nothing nowadays compared to what they used to be.
