I went off them when I saw his dad turn his head away in disgust at footage of 2 men kissing.

agree! That's most people reaction to seeing people kiss on TV, and why would you go off of him? It obvious you thought it was homophobic, if it was a girl and boy and they kissed, I bet he would not have gone off of the dad.

Anyway, even if he did, so what?

The man doesn't have to watch "Shaving Ryan's Privates" to prove he isn't homophobic, you can be accepting of gay people without wanting to see them kissing
