I like the above reason.I think he has managed to con the majority of his fellow HMs and I want to see the meltdown and pay back when they begin to realise this.

I can quite appreciate what you are saying, I do feel the other way around though and this is why I am disliking James so much. I was getting to give him a little bit of credit and hoping that he would be in the top three with Gary and Frenchy but then, he nominated him. Ok they all had to nominate but it felt like a Christopher/Chris moment to me. Gary sees him totally as his friend, little does he know,

I don't like or dislike him. I think he's a twat but a twat with a heart. He has this unfortunate patronizing manner which kind of negates the nice things he does, but at the same time I can see beyond that and there is just something about him that makes me think he's okay really.
Did anyone watch the Strictly weekday shows? They did a thing where the dancers taught kids some moves and he was brilliant with them, patient and funny. Most of the kids said afterwards that they loved James and he was their favourite.
I think he's just like a big kid himself really with a lot of insecurities and I think the hate for him is way OTT.

To me, he is terribly insecure because his dancing career on SCD has ended while his wife has still got hers. He looks podgy and has been looking much older as well.

Why I don't like him is that although he helps Gary, he brags about it endlessly bleating that Gary is ungrateful and rude.

By telling everyone how great he is, how masculine, how clever, how funny and believing it, then getting booed must have been soul destroying for his fragile ego because although he thinks he is the Alpha male, he has just had the rug pulled out from under him and he knows others see through him.

His confidence and the fact he is so articulate makes him look a bit arrogant at times.
