I think you need to cut Lauren some slack. She receives mixed messages every single day. She has George repeatedly telling her to get her boobs out and other lewd comments about her body, which encourages her to do so and suggests her worth is based on her sexual behaviour. She then has James criticising her for doing so, telling her she has little self-respect. She's treated like a slut by one man and then shamed for acting like a slut by another man (slut isn't the word I'd use to describe her, just a quick way to get the message across). It's no wonder she feels messed up, confused, embarrassed, and guilty.
