I was shocked at Edele's uncharitable and nasty retort when Gary said to her and James that he missed Stephanie's presence in the house. I really think this was the most telling thing she has said to date. For those who don't know when Gary said he would miss Stephanie's presence she turned and whispered to James "Liar, liar pants on fire." Gary must have sensed something and asked what she had said to which she mumbled something.......but not he truth.

She is so desperate, along with her fellow HM's, to get rid of Gary because every one of them sees Gary as competition.

Gary was probably lying but was trying to show compassion towards those who liked Stephanie. On the other hand although Edele was cringy it was only "liar liar pants on fire" that was said which is hardly criminal.

..yeah exactly this and always the voice of reason Jords....so she said ..liar, liar pants on fire...and she said it under her breath and she said it about a favourite not about James or Dee or someone who might be less favourite..oh dear WHAT HAS SHE DONE....seriously it seems like nothing to me ..I like Gary, I like Edele, I like Gary more than Edele but this wouldn't change my opinion of her at all or doesn't seem to show any 'true colours' at all...sometimes she can make snide remarks, oh dear...seriously I don't see anything to see here...she's human....she knows that gary and Steph never connected and probably assumed he was being false and commented on it but she said it under her breath and not to him because didn't think it was appropriate to initiate a potential confrontation and she isn't the confrontational type either.....and about anyone else it would have been less significant but it was Gary.....as much as I love him, hosemates can and do have opinions about him and his actions/words without it being their 'true colours' exposed or being thought of as 'nasty' in some way...

I agree, but I think everyone's so riled, not because of the actual words which she said, but the fact that by her actions she exposed herself as a nasty 2 faced bitch - and this followed her 2 faced sly face pulling antics as she was exiting Gary's counselling session during the task.

Yes and coupled with her behaviour in the Call Centre Task it just makes her look a bit bitter. I think Gary is as entitled as anyone to say the house feels emptier even if he did nominate Stephanie without being called a liar.

Just checking - it's interesting who Gary chooses to nominate and who he doesn't. Gary called James a friend for life - not sure if I believe Gary tbh.

Edele wasn't nice, but I can understand if she didn't feel Gary was genuine and resented his input at that moment.

Back to Edele,I still like her but it surprised me that she chose to,knowing he has hearing difficulties,make the comment to another in the first place and in a way he couldn't hear it clearly too.

When he added a comment she said she was saying something else,now I do like Edele and she has heavy personal issues in her own life at present.
I would however have thought that would have made her more tolerant of others rather than to attempt to ridicule them.

I hope she is not now going to jump on the bandwagon with most of the others to get at Gary who in fact, as you point out in your post, has never made a really rude or in fact insulting remark about any of them that we have seen.

I agree it was another non event or 'foot note' a tack in the coffin of Edele, but nothing more. I don't think Gary meant nothing by it, I think he will miss the house the most when it all finishes.

As for Edele, she portrays this Miss Goody Two Shoes image whilst underneath it she's just like any other person with all the good and bad traits we all possess. I do think they are all in it for 'ME' there is very little humility in there- ZERO, just a house full of people, back stabbing each other, jockyinig for position. Probably learnt sod all about themselves or anyone else. They are all so inwardly looking. Non are open to self improvement or are prepared to listen- properly to another person. One of the greatest assets in life a human can have is the ability to listen to another one, not butt in, but just listen. Very little empathy in there it's all about ME ME ME ME ME ME.

Just notice how many times a house mate starts off opening themselves up and when they do it takes about 3 seconds before the person that they are off loading on steers the subject round to themselves. " Oh yeah, that's exactly what happened to me .... " and then off they go .

I'll still make allowances for this from Edele however I was a little surprised at her attitude really.
She has however always said she has issues with Gary, not sure if she could really like him, so this sort of comment, although uncalled for, is not a big deal in my view.

It could be only that, at least for some of them.

However, poor old Gary seemed to have that effect on his team mates on the Apprentice too - if they weren't losing control they were pulling faces behind his back.

Perhaps they were worried he would win that too.
