She'd been in hospitals the majority of her childhood because she's anorexic and still suffers with it.

Ahh right, definitely mental issues then. It's a shame because as funny as she was, she has some serious problems that probably were as recognised back then.

I don't think it came to light until either a good way through the series or afterwards. I know a lot of people gave Channel 4 a flack because of the amount of people with difficulties they put in (Shahbaz, Nikki, Pete) that year.

You should re-watch it, it was a great series
