He was never going to be convicted, the South African justice system is famously wonky.

Right verdict though really, the prosecution had no conclusive evidence at all and its there job to prove him guilty which they didn't do a very good job off in truth

Wow. Pretty sure his girlfriend's still pretty dead and he still filled her with lead. Is he facing any kind of punishment at all or is he getting to run away on his blades? An OJ Simpson case for a new generation.

Right decision. It should be Culpable Homicide. Not near enough evidence for Premeditated or Murder.

Looks like he'll be getting a culpable homicide verdict. The judge said "His conduct was negligent" and then finished for the day.Pretty sure earlier on she said that any negligence would have to result in a culpable homocide verdict.

Just give him another ruddy medal...we can't knock down a national hero now can we. Let's just hope he is found guilty of culpable homicide.

Why is it even a question about if he thought the bullet might go through the door and kill the person behind it? If he thought it wouldnt he wouldnt have shot. Stupid thing to be going over and over Last edited by Vicky.; 11-09-2014 at 12:41 PM.

I don't see how they can say he didn't mean to kill her, he deliberately picked up a gun and fired it at the door of the room the poor woman was in.. unless he thought the door was made from a material that would miraculously stop bullets, he would have known that the bullets would have gone through and hit her, in my eyes it is clear murder, if he wasn't who he is, he would be going down for first degree murder, yet another person being let off of a crime for being in the spotlight, yay celebrity culture.

If your Mrs wasn't in the bed next to you when he heard the so called intruder in the bathroom, you'd first assume that it was her.. not go and shoot through the bathroom door like a lunatic.

He heard the window slide open and thought someone came in through it hence why he shot bullets into the bathroom, the window was actually open and his fingerprints weren't found on it, his story can't really be shunted as lies

| Hands off my Brick! |

His defense is a crock of ****, as if anyone who thought there was an intruder in their house wouldn't first of all wake the person who's supposed to be in bed next them, see if they heard something? Get them to phone the Police? Also, if Reeva just got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, which would be the case if we're to believe Oscars story, why would she lock herself into the bathroom? I don't think I've ever in my life locked the bathroom door in the middle of the night when my partner is the only person in the house.
