All I am hearing from most of those I communicate with off here is that they just don't believe anything any of them say now.

I don't think any party has ever betrayed their core voters the way the LibDems have since getting into bed with the Tories. I think it would be madness for anyone to trust them again.

I mean, yes, Tory policies are awful but they're... Tories. It's expected - people who vote for them know (or should know) what they are voting for by now. If I had voted LibDem I would be feeling utterly scammed.

Spot on,I did vote for them and do feel scammed by them.

Nothing they can say to me now will alter the view I now have of why I trusted them and then by their actions once getting any power they threw out that trust completely.

I also agree that likely no party taking power has likely betrayed the trust of their voters so badly as the Lib Dems have these last 4+ years now.

Oh crumbs, I was unfortunately listening her yesterday, he is bad enough, I hope he heads off to the EU again after the 2015 election and takes her with him.

I am not normally one to get at Politicians wives, however once they stick their nose into things then they become fair game.

Like the other one too, Samcam.
I wonder if she sets out to help with a homeless charity for the cameras in the election campaign as she was filmed helping at a charity last time.
As to the homeless, her Husband has certainly created plenty more opportunites for filming and photos for her.

As for Mrs. Clegg, I would see her more as a hindrance to his cause,(as if he needed any more that is), than a weapon for him.

Is it just me or have these conferences been really lack lustre this year, this one is chronic from the Lib Dems,no atmosphere at all.
However overall the other 2 were not much better,I could almost believe that no one really wants to win the 2015 election.

My Dad tells me they used to be laughable as well as entertaining before, with the Labour party's conference full of massive drama and arguing, the Conservative one too where he says, Margaret Thatcher got a standing ovation before she even said a word.

What has then happened to make these non events, when they should in fact be a unique opportunity to really connect with voters.

They sold out... they sold their ideology and ethics out, and they sold the country out. I'm so ashamed I voted for them never ever again.

I actually thought Clegg started off very well.I soon got bored though and my brain lost connection to my ears. The Lib Dems imo have done the worst possible thing that they could possibly have done,They alienated the young future voters who just as i grew up to hate the Tories after Thatchers reign of terror,The young voters now will grow up calling the Lib Dems things like 'untrustworthy bastards' and 'sellouts' and 'Tory lapdogs' etc. They screwed themselves with false promises in 2010 and the young voters of today won't forget that.

Nothing there that impressed me at all, mainly because I guess I have no respect for the man or believe a word he says anyway now.

It's all bluster, he doesn't care anymore he knows he's gone... it was all for show.
He is now a very rich man, that was the aim it seems.

I got even more mad at him when he said, don't just judge us on the one policy we couldn't deliver but on all the others we did.

I will certainly be doing that, the raising of VAT to 20% and the extension of VAT to hot food.
The bedroom tax and all the extreme policies that they supported as to hitting the most vulnerable with the heartless welfare/benefit reforms.

People waiting ages just to get a claim sorted.

The supporting of the re-organisation of the NHS, not in either the Conservative or Lib Dem manifesto.

Then some of the self centred ones, the legislation to ensure the PM could not call an election at a time of his /her choosing and that this Parliament had to run a whole 5 years, ensuring they were in Gov. for at least that time.
The dumping of Lords reform and particularly the recall of MPs too,of course they would dump that, most Lib Dem MPs would have had a sticky time with their constituents on the latter.

They are just some of the many things I am judging them on and mostl of them are pretty unsavoury to me.
Hardly anything to crow about at all, in my opinion.

Yep the selling off of royal mail, politicising the police force, freezing of public sector pay, 11%wage rises for MPs, ensuring the public subsidise the building of EDFs nuclear plant, bailing the bankers, making sure they had 5 whole years to dismantle the country... What of any merit did he do?... I can't think of one positive can you Joey?

Nothing really, raising the tax threshold possibly but with the inflation we had for the first 3 years of this Govt, that resulted in virtually no benefit at all in the end,it only allowed a little bit of catch up.

Of course the price of that and the other thing they supported at the same time almost was the reducing of the hgher tax level for those with the greater income.
So to answer your question Kizzy, no I cannot think of a single thing.

In fact to list all the things I feel they were wrong to support would go on for ages, as your own listed things show too.
