PC though of the consoles at the minute I'd have to say PS4, better library just like last generation and the differential in hardware power is going to show massively down the line as graphics improve. The small difference in power last generation gave the PS3 games like Beyond & GoW Ascension that blew everything on the 360 away, yet the power difference this time around is bigger. I worry for what the XbONE will become in a few years, likely to be this generations Wii.

The PS2 was the weakest console two generations ago and look how that turned out.

Both the PS3 and 360 in the end started to suffer towards the end of the generation due to outdated hardware. Most likely, both will suffer again. The PS4 isn't this super powerful machine and the processors in both are pathetic.

And it'll hardly be this generation's Wii, lol. The Wii was severely under powered. The One isn't like that.

And the PS4 having a better library, if you mean at the moment, is rather debatable. Neither exactly have top notch libraries at the moment.

It wasn't though, the Xbox came out much later than the PS2 so of course it would be stronger, but it had a kinda crappy library and never took off that well as everybody was on their PS2 which was just more fun.

Every generation suffers towards the end, and sadly that leaks onto the PC aswell as developers have to aim low so the consoles can handle their games, and few actually do the PC versions properly. I'd say the 360 came off worse last generation and the difference is larger this time around, and there are no dodgy architecture problems holding developers back with the 4 like there was with the 3. So it's going to be much easier for them to work with this time around, that was the only advantage Microsoft had last gen.

Are you sure? The Wii had some alright looking games, like the Resi rail shooters etc. that werent TOO bad, compare them with some of the games on the proper systems and they honestly didn't look that much worse, I think that's going to be the sort of difference we are going to see a few years into this generation. The ONE is going to have some issues, and with both consoles having bollox hardware, may as well get a PC tbh more so than any other generation, at least with the last gen, the consoles weren't that far behind what PCs were doing, this generation though, their hardware is pathetic. It's kind of crazy that games like Killzone and RYSE can be ran on these machines yet 2 years ago there wasn't anything that looks that nice on PC, despite these machines being far less up to date than what PCs were 2 years ago

Well, the only 360 game worth playing IMO was secretly a timed exclusive and I now play it on my PC, so i can't imagine it will outdo the PS4 on that front, not for me anyway, but console vs console will mostly always be opinion based. The Ps4 is more powerful, that's really the only fact there is on either side.

First off, no worries for the PC comments. Both these consoles are underpowered. The CPUs are embarrassing when compared to their counterparts in PC's.

The 360 and PS3 were powerful compared to PC's at the time. It use to be that consoles would release and PC's would play catch up. Whereas now these consoles are absolutely miles adrift of PC's.

I don't think the 360 came off worse, tbh. The vast amount of multi-platform games looked better on the system. MS should of gone with HD-DVD in the system instead of being money grabbers. Basically handed Blu-ray an easy victory and meant more than one disc for some games.

The PS3's exclusives looked better, imo. However, there wasn't that much of a difference last gen as Sony fooked up BIG time. They very nearly went with a console without a GPU, ffs. And in the end were led down the garden path by Nvidia and ended up with a crap graphics card. And a CPU which was a bitch to develop for.

Still don't think the One will suffer too much due to its hardware in terms of multi-platform games. You look at games last gen on the HD twins compared to the Wii and there's a huge difference, and a lot of multi-platform games not even on the Wii. I doubt the One will go this way.

Definitely looks as though things will always run better on the PS4, though. MS messed up big time with forcing Kinect on people, in turn meaning they went cheap on the GPU.
