There are many cases of pronunciations being different because of the local dialects - such as saying 'buzz' for bus and 'skelington' instead of skeleton

Yeah I always say a variation of thanks when I get on and show them my ticket (or pay for it) and soon as I get off as well.

I just thought it was common sense, as i was getting off i just said 'cheers drive' and i literally felt all of the northern eyes piercing through my skull as if i had just gut punched a pensioner
