Saying they should feed the baby at home before coming out doesn't work either.

I'm no expert but, especially when a baby is breastfeeding, they do it when they're hungry sporadically throughout the day. You can't pinpoint a time to feed them and then hope they don't want anymore whilst you're out.

I realise this may be slightly offtopic

Outside the Hotel

Copper remove them out of the way

At 2pm today, about 25 mothers sat outside the entrance to the hotel to feed their babies in a protest organised by Free to Feed, which campaigns for the 'normalising' of public breastfeeding

I do have to say I think this is rather silly for these women to do this today

It is a normal thing to have to do, I 100% accpet that,
However I am now 22, all my other 3 Brothers are very much older than me and all married.
I have to say, I have never witnessed or come across them even wanting to,any of my Sister in Laws or indeed any of my Cousins, feeding their babies in front of others.

Okay, if it is an absolute emergency,no problem, it would have to be done but it seems to me all this lady had to do was ask if there was a room she could use to feed her baby.
Had they refused that request, this story would have had more legs to it.

No Mother should feel embarrassed or anxious as to having to feed her baby but as in all things, others views need to be considered too.
The Hotel said it supports breastfeeding, all she had to do was ask for a private area to fed the baby, not just disregard the possible reservations others may have who were eating in the Restaurant.

These women outside today doing so, well they are not and were not in the Restaurant at the time and it seems very sad to me that they use their babies as to this issue to get on the front pages of some very sick tabloid papers.

The babies will have been a bit cold having their feed today, the mums needn't have done this and just boycotted Claridges. They've had a lot of bad press over this incident as it is, for good reason.

There are no more options.
There would be uproar if they banned them. This woman has blown it way out of proportion. The hotels rules are the hotels rules. If you don't like them then eat elsewhere. It really as simple as that. Find a restaurant that allows breastfeeding or place some breast milk into a bottle before getting there?

getting an erection is natural, not all people want to see it in public.

Neither of my children would ever take a bottle. They simply refused to drink from one. This is fairly common with breastfed babies. My wife also found pumping milk almost impossible - hardly any came out using a pump. But of course, most people would think it's as simple as "putting some in a bottle", because unfortunately, most babies are not breastfed.

When my girls were hungry they got milk. From boobs. Out to eat, on a bus, wherever. I genuinely could not give one hint of a damn about anyone having a problem with that... Sorry lolz. I don't care if they're "put off their sandwich". They can avert their eyes or, failing that, simply jam their sandwich up their arse and **** off .

It makes me laugh how uptight we are in this country it's pathetic how just over an hour away women are strolling topless on a beach and nobody bats one eyelid.. ( except the sweaty fat sunburnt brits who can't help but sexualise women in any setting obv)

Come on, put things in perspective who is more compromised here, the person whose eyeline was sullied by an inch of flesh or the baby denied a feed?

And:

For your picturesque speech T.S.

I agree totally, and IMHO - the only Tits on display in this Restaurant are the ones complaining.

we are quiet happy to see female singers opening their legs ahem it's a performance on shows that are meant to be family viewing but heaven help us if we see a bit of skin while feeding a baby
