Often just isolating yourself for a while with distractions works. That's my tactic. I mean my Mum gets me down a lot when I'm around her so I've sort of developed coping mechanisms.

It's no problem though. I hope things pick up soon for you. It sounds like a ****ing awful situation (and one I know all too well).
