She defended Kens right to say what he did - which is fair enough - but never pointed out that his comments were indeed sexist. I'd say that was pretty much supporting him. She can stand up for freedom of speech but still acknowledge that his comments were sexist but she chose not to do that. It seems for her the sexist man pretty much did nothing wrong. I've seen Katie do this in the past. Men get away with anything but a perceived weaker woman is easy prey for her.
