So the best tactic for Mr Cameron is to be seen willing to have a debate whilst finding ways to avoid actually having a debate.
So this issue with the Greens is a good avoiding tactic.

Agreed. He's not a closet Green supporter, he's just in their corner because he knows the Greens are the left's version of UKIP in this debate and he knows that he can avoid TV debates if he has a legitimate sounding reason to dodge them. It's funny how alliances can be formed just like that.
