Best way for someone to change a law they disagree with is lobbying or to run for Parliament themselves, Katie's comments were not classed legally as a hate crime thus she cannot be charged with the crime. Of course people can say they don't like what she has to say and respond in a legal manner and of course they should if they wish.

Being on TV is a commercial activity so shareholders would have the ultimate say and luckily as far as I am aware people can't yet be jailed unless they have committed a crime a hate one or otherwise.

Adultery is also not illegal in this country, unlike many theocratic counties, many of which are in the middle east.
