The Oxford English Dictionary defines "chav" as an informal British derogatory, meaning "a young lower-class person who displays brash and loutish behaviour and wears real or imitation designer clothes" Surely "Brash and Loutish behaviour" if anti-social is acceptable to criticise?

The stereotyping of working class Britain has become a new class hatred...from salt of the earth to scum of the earth thanks to constant media put downs and programmes like Little Britain. |

I find the sort of people who use the word "Chav" are the types that aspire to be "upper middle class" but are usually in debt and struggling to keep up appearances. Its the same type who live in primarily white suburbia; think curb appeal is important and believe immigration is Britain's biggest problem.

Really? I live a very comfortable lifestyle and I consider myself fortunate but I've never been made to feel guilty about my creature comforts...have you?
