It looks exactly the same, even the actors resemble their french counterparts. It all seems really pointless.

Kind of but not really, the original was on Channel 4 last year (or maybe the year before?) and it's well worth a watch.

I thought that Resurrection was suppose to be the American remake of The Returned?
