Not only has Perez
not ruined the series but has in fact solidified it as the best CBB ever (and is one of the best series of all time in general) but this is total fiction. Katie has constantly demanded everyone ignore Perez - which would have probably worked - but couldn't help following him around the house making comments, insulting him and goading him into goading her even more, tit for tat. If she'd taken her own advice perhaps her oh so wise idea might've actually worked. But it hasn't, because she can't leave him alone...she's obsessed with him.
And Nadia and anyone else are free to like and talk to any housemates they wish to, it's not for someone else to dictate who they can and cannot be friends with. Not only is that petty and pathetic but the desperate need to isolate another human being so much is really quite disturbing and bordering on pathological. He acts up because he knows it annoys her and her friends because...shock horror...this is an entertainment gameshow and that's what he's been paid to do. To give her credit she's also played her ~I hate everyone~ persona pretty well but if she really does hate Perez so much she should have just left him alone.
Anyway you should be thankful he's been in this series because had he not been not only would Katie had nowhere near as much screen time (as evidenced by how lacklustre and try hard she was in the first few days) but this turnaround in public perceptions of her would definitely not have happened either. The fact she's probably going to win is down to Perez, not herself. She needs him more than he needs her. Both great housemates, but he is far better.
