I haven't checked the size of any of the gifs lol but surely some of them would be too big to use on here? In which case what's the point of having them in an avatar competition lovely as they are...

Yeah, I've noticed that and also some of the images are even bigger than 150x160, which I think ruins the point as well. I've mentioned it before but nobody seems to care.

Which ones are you referring too?

The video avatars are always going to be a large file size, but just because this forum doesn't allow a large file size doesn't mean it's not an avatar. Other forums allow larger file sizes.

The avatar competition isn't limited to avatars that meet the requirements of this forum.

I browse on my iPad, and sizes seem a lot different when I'm on my ipad compared to the laptop. So in regards to the still ones that are large in size I'm unsure as I haven't looked on my laptop yet.

Since your the host... I would say it is down to you to set or not set parameters for the avatars in your competition. If you choose to set the sizes to ones that will work on TiBB... then we will comply.

It takes 30 sec to resize a gif or jpg online anyways

Um, I want to alter my Maleficent one (just the text placement really) but I love how the colour editing turned out and don't know if I'll be able to get it exactly the same again. I was trying out different things and ended up with something I loved but I didn't bother to remember exactly how I did it.

I'll give it a go and if it doesn't turn out how I want it, I'll just leave it.

Ok. In order to stop confusion and allow members a little freedom, memberscan create avatars that are up to 175x160.

The file size doesnt have a set limit, as in order to allow for video avatars, the size limit is going to be high regardless and has been for all the competitions up till now. But just try and not go too overboard on the video avatars and display long clips.
