well the idiotic welsh government have only gone and done it now.......they are saying in law now all 50,000 landlords in wales MUST pay the welsh government for licenses to rent their own privately owned houses AND they MUST also pay to attend courses to qualify as landlords
they actually think this will tackle homelessness...wtf? this is insane it will treble homelessness the problem is already monstrous as the government passed laws to pay the housing benefit direct to tenants...in many cases they tenants do not hand over the money and they lose communication with the landlords and let the house fall into disrepair deliberately...its happened to me and many other landlords around here these rogue tenants even go and report the house and then move and keep the rent...the housing department then hammer the landlord even further..... so landlords get their homes destroyed their rent stolen the council then give them a list of home improvements they must make and compulsory fines of several hundred pounds and they must now buy a license to rent then pay to attend courses and they must pass all these compulsory courses ridiculous the people who need chasing up on are tenants in many cases who don't have a clue how to maintain a property safely or pay their rents the benefit should go direct to the landlord anyway its his/her money...he/she takes all the risks and has to pay for all costs and damage and improvements and running repairs etc I came to wales from England because its a better quality of life...more space more hills more beaches etc and the people are generally friendly BUT now the welsh government have their power through the back door...im afraid I must flee the country as will many many more I always feared wales would become almost a communist country if allowed to run its own affairs and lo and behold we have it parking fees here are crazy, speed bumps, endless new traffic lights, government waste, council waste and burocracy, new rules left right and centre....the traffic here is worse than many cities in England, the town centres are now falling apart due to the lack of traffic flow and huge rates with the council and this is much smaller place, but this new compulsory law is the politics of envy...anyone seen to try and get on in life and be a successful business person is torn down....even the severn bridges costs the welsh economy tens of millions..if you had a van in Bristol would you pay £15 every day to cross to Newport? all down to the culture of wasting all this years budget to ensure we get the same amount to waste next year? when will the welsh government run out of other peoples money and when will England and Scotland have to rescue them again? I read a figure once that more people per head in wales are employed by the state than in old mother Russia...in the end it leads to poverty and crime and the loss of revenues going to the treasury which hits public services and hits the welsh nhs as weve seen with disastrous consequences....no one from the business community EVER attends these council meetings about roads transport developments licensing....so they never actually estimate the economic damage they do with their endless wasteful spending and petty burocracy so quangoland here is fast becoming Romania, maybe heading towards cuba and old Russia....if you look at the percentages were virtually communist here now and its you tax payers in England and Scotland who will have to bail out the welsh unless you want Romania in your back yard via la revolution |

It is a CLAIMANT filling in application Forms to receive TAX-PAYERS MONEY with which to pay for their rent, so surely this is Obtaining Money By Deception, Fraud, or one of a dozen other Criminal Offences? The second Question I'd like to ask any politician of any party is: A) Seeing as how COUNCIL HOUSES are LET BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITY and; B) Seeing as how it is also THE LOCAL AUTHORITY who AWARD and PAY HOUSING BENEFITS to COUNCIL HOUSE TENANTS who are CLAIMANTS. HOW THE Fuck HAS EVERY SINGLE COUNCIL IN THE UK got RENT ARREARS totalling TENS of MILLIONS of POUNDS - THE GREATER majority OF WHICH IS OWED BY CLAIMANT TENANTS? LANDLORDS HAVE NO PROTECTIO and are simply being robbed...in a country where you cant save you cant have a pension as theres no interest and no annuity rates....you invest in property now even that is being stolen by the communist welsh government...makes you feel like giving up and joining the chavs on the benefits free houses and knock out 7 kids to be paid for by the state

It could be a positive, hopefully it'll clamp down on unscrupulous landlords who rent out substandard properties at inflated rents and do not have adequate written tenancy agreements in place.

100% of council workers in housing benefits departments I know are against paying the rent direct to tenant...they simply steal it
