I don't see how you get that Empire was "excusing" the violence T.S. - he made no comment on it, but he did SPEAK THE TRUTH that it will be happening here unless we regain control of our borders and stop our suicidal 'Open Door' immigration policy.

Once the hysterics and propaganda are put aside, it's actually fairly obvious that this will not happen in the UK. South Africa is a dangerous and violent country and always has been. This is not a case of people simply going wild and turning murderous because some immigrants "took their jobs". Seriously.

My point, anyway, is that ---if--- this ever happens in the UK, if UK citizens pick up axes and start hacking immigrants - fellow human beings - to pieces then it will be no one's fault but the people picking up the weapons. And perhaps some blame might lie with the people feeding their anger with xenophobic bull****.

One man's xenophobic bull**** is another man's truth and often the one decreeing another's truthful insights as 'hysterics' and 'propaganda' is the one using propaganda and being 'hysterical'. All too often in my opinion.

I didn't perceive Empire to mean that if immigration remained uncontrolled that UK citizens would LITERALLY start hacking 'immigrants' to death because they 'took their jobs', rather that increasing uncontrolled immigration fosters increasing resentment among an increasingly widening section of society, with such civil unrest subsequently manifesting itself in protest of some form or other.

There have been bloody riots in this country since the 12th century, and those riots occurred for a variety of reasons; from 'anti-Semitism ' to anti-War to anti-Poll Tax, and there has been a palpable dissatisfaction for years with our government's 'Open Door' immigration policy among UK citizens, and this is growing and no longer confined to those stereotyped 'xenophobic (yawn) racist (yawn) 'skinhead factions of extremists such as the BNP - but 'ordinary', non-racist, non-xenophobic citizens of all classes, colours and creeds.

No one is feeding anyone's 'anger' with any racist (yawn) xenophobic (yawn) bull****, but the fact that you concede that such 'anger' is there in the first place among UK citizens beggars the question of; "Why then, is such anger there"?

..ISIS have successfully captured the world's attention and sickened it with their actions and maybe to an extent other groups in other countries who want to make themselves heard may think that butchering and killing is the way to do that..but to me, closing borders is a bit like closing eyes and ears and saying...lalala, I'm not listening because I'm alright, Jack and closing ourselves off from all of these inhumanities...maybe that's a naďve view, I don't know and yeah, there will be some people who enter the UK that we really wouldn't want to have and will be dangerous...but isn't that the way with anything..?...that risks are taken and have to be taken/good and bad etc...type thing...but there are so many people who all they genuinely want is an opportunity to live without war and conflict and fear and that's something that other countries can give them by keeping borders open...

What jobs are illegal migrants "taking" from UK citizens?
