I once knew someone who would catch a cockroach then boil it. He used to take a part of it out with him in a matchbox, then go in a restaurant and have a nice meal. He would eat most of the meal then snide the bit of roach into his meal - then pretend to discover the roach in a forkful of food he was about to eat', and then he'd shout loudly and cause a fuss so the other diners were all looking. Without exception the Manager would rush up to him and placate him as quick as lightening and the guy always left without paying for the meal and with a free bottle of wine and usually a voucher for a replacement free meal.

He pulled this stunt in just about every type of eateries in many towns and cities for years and he is a well known character - as tight as a duck's bum in every other way as well.
