The polls are saying things are close, they are predicting Labour and the Conservatives to have something like 280 seats each,with the SNP for instance possibly on 50.
Therein lies a massive problem as then no combination of parties that doesn't include the SNP figures, can form a govt; anyway.
The Labour party is not in existence to help Conservatives into govt; and likewise the Conservatives don't exist to assist Labour into govt;
In that scenario above, painted by the polls at present,without the votes or some kind of support from the SNP, there couldn't be a govt; put in place at all.

One scenario that hasn't been discussed yet is that no party can get enough support to push through a queens speech. It may be straight to another election vote .....can you imagine another 2 months of debate here?
