So they should be. People will soon realise just how lucky we were to have the Lib Dems watering down the Tories over the last five years. Sure, they were pretty awful, but not nearly as awful as the next five will be.

I already am Jack_ ,nothing David Cameron is now saying, rather than what he said more humbly after his election victory,is telling me things are going to be better.

It now seems too, with this unnecessary extra budget just 4 months after the last budget, which was supposed to be for the year ahead,is intended to bring in the more severe things the Lib Dems would not support.

I still feel fury at the Lib Dems for most of what they supported in the coalition but one of my worst fears in this election was a Conservative majority govt; or a Conservative govt; propped up by UKIP.

There are a lot of decent Conservative MPs,who I know, do themselves,(far more than some of their hardline supporters do), feel the govt; went too far in some things last time,my only hope is some of them sit on their hands or be 'absent' when certain votes come up.

I am not holding my breath as to that and I agree with you completely, with the same people in the same main positions, this 2nd ridiculous budget, and the rhetoric getting extreme again.
Like you I believe the next 5 years are going to be really awful.

One saving grace may be, this govt; gets so consumed over the EU referendum, that the whole process saps them of energy and time as to other things.
Thankfully a 12 majority for the Conservatives is a hard one to cope with for them, they love power and prefer to have a much larger cushion as to it.
