I remember the promo for BB15 saying the housemates have been on the "cusp of fame", and that they will have outside contact via iPad, for Twitter. I said to myself, okay this series is going to suck. It did. They could do so many things with the Timebomb theme, that they haven't done yet. It's disappointing. No overnight tasks. It's all over the place, TBH. Timebomb is just another wasted theme. They need to stop with themes now, TBH. The only one that worked was Secrets and Lies. |

But what puts BB15 slightly ahead of BB16 was that this year it doesn't feel like Big Brother. For some odd reason, I can't put my finger around it. Last year it had some hype, and it felt like BB. It's flat this year. As bad as BB15/16 are. Nothing will ever beat BB12. The newbies are boring. I like Harry. But, I honestly don't think they were worth evicting Amy & Sally, Sarah, Harriet, and Kieran. Twins, Sarah, and Harriet provided much more entertainment that I enjoyed watching than the newbies have. One thing I also dislike is how you can feel it's Newbies vs. Originals. They don't blend well with the cast. They stick out like a sore thumb. It wasn't like that last year, when Pav, Biannca, and Zoe entered. And they entered during the last few weeks of the series. Last edited by Jason.; 13-06-2015 at 07:01 PM. |

For them to continue with themes they need to keep it like the C4 days, which were themed series too. The themes weren't too prominent but they had a twist or two surrounding it. Plus it made for pretty graphics.
The biggest problem now is interference. Nothing natural is allowed to develop and with these twists weekly, noms meddled with and tasks that are pretty much the same thing every week Big Brother has lost its ways. With all these changes weekly the housemates just don't develop or act naturally. It feels like it's moving towards a Geordie Shore format which really doesn't work with this show when it is Big Brother. Prior to 4in4out this series looked set to be great, a better cast than last year, tensions starting to form, not too many twists and turns. Now it feels like BB15 but worse in terms of producer interference. I think the cast this year could have been better, but it is miles better than the BB15 cast. Yes these lot weren't arguing from day one but before 4in4out there were arguments starting to form and I think we could have been in for some explosive stuff if they kept things as they were. Forcing drama only works in the short term, with a house that people live in 24/7 they will form their own arguments eventually. I don't know why Big Brother has become so fixated with arguments every day of the week, this isn't the Jeremy Kyle show, it just ain't going to happen everyday for 3 months, that's not how people live with one another. Channel 5 and Ben Frow need to open their eyes and realize the show needs to go to its simpler roots and be bloody advertised! No one's going to watch your show with no countdowns from 10 days before the series and only a few adverts a few days before the show. Air the show from June, get adverts on ITV during primetime TV (BGT on Saturday's), get the show advertised on billboards, even make a deal with the sponsor (Lucozade in this case) and get them to advertise the show too, and make use of Emma's high demand and secure her interviews on ITV and BBC. She's one of the hottest presenters on TV right now and who do they send to be a spokesperson for Big Brother... Rylan. No wonder new viewers don't switch on when he's the one promoting it. The only thing that makes me enjoy this series more than BB15 right now is the fact I like most of the cast and don't really find my blood boiling over anyone. Doesn't mean this series is great though, after 4in4out I'm finding it a bit of a wet fart now. |
