Yeah I agree. Good point.
Mainly it's due to the endless interference from the producers. Evicting the 4 HMs and replacing them has kinda shocked and frozen the remaining HMs. So they have all shrunk back into their shells which has also stunted the natural growth of the house relationships. It's put them all on the back foot. It's a bit like uprooting a tree as it is growing - it won't produce fruit at it's natural pace. Also there are some fairly boring people in there. Watching them on the 'live from the house', they all become excited when talking about their favourite burger/fried chicken outlets but not much else interesting chat going on. The cure? More intelligent and strange HMs and less interference in the flow of the show from producers. Have VOTE to SAVE (Not vote to EVICT) and that keeps the controversial ones in. Then let it evolve naturally. Having said that, BB has done a good job this year bringing in Marc and the legendary HMs to shake it up a bit but I agree with the OP - I do miss the old skool BB where things played out a natural pace. |
