Yeah, but apparently...

14) THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF ALL: Big Brother reserves the right to change the rules at any time.

That's the most important. So if they want to make 5 out of the final 6 housemate ineligible to win, they can do that.

Yes, but they're not supposed to disregard the entire format.. changing a few things for a small twist is understandable, but it's insane..

Oh, I agree. If I had my way it would go back to something like Big Brother from series 1 - the first half of series 7 (it's been all downhill after that House Next Door nonsense with the exception of series 9)

These people are immune from criticism no matter how legitimate however. It's perfectly clear by now that they are the most inept people working in television.

You thought it went downhill after the house next door? I'm currently on episode 60 of season 7 (watching for the first time) and I haven't seen that personally.

Ah if only I could watch bb7 for the first time again - jealous! It may have gone down hill a bit but it was still brilliant. Hope u enjoy it.

Regarding the rule breaking, didnt they used to say that diary room conversations would be kept confidential from other housemates? Theres another one that gets disregarded on a regular basis

Yes, I thought the HND was a totally unnecessary twist that brought in a group of pointless housemates that no one remembers. They had already brought 2 new housemates in with Aisleyne and Sam and that was more than enough.

Up until that series Big Brother usually had about 12 - 14 housemates. The 6th would have had 15 with Eugene and Orlaith, but the latter left and was replaced by Kinga. So 16 in total. That was arguably excessive.

Big Brother 7 had 21 housemates in total. Big Brother 8 had 22 (23 if you count the twins as 2). The show started to run for longer, so it is somewhat understanable, but this was when things started getting out of hand.

Who can forget the utterly ludicrous "halfway house" in BB8 in 2007. The producers just kept switching the people in it and altering the rules until the right people came into the house.

They have been fixing this show for at least 8 years. They just do it more blatantly now.

I felt there was a dramatic change from about late BB7 to BB8. The 5th and 6th series were pretty good, but the producers just got completely out of control after that, with the 9th being the only somewhat decent series.

According to Preze from last CBB rule twelve was broken.

https://soundcloud.com/howardstern/p...ton_bigbrother

A Ditigal Spy poster put it up and claims - he wanted to leave four times but the TV execs stopped him (more likely talked him out of it.), the fourth time he left and got talked into going into the secret room and the whole thing was edited to looked like a task, as a cover up.

So he could have some time alone away from the house.
