As a scientist Marc knows the dictionary definition of scum and how it's derived. He'll certainly understand what people mean if they say that word as a description of himself - he'll know it's a derogatory term.

His usage of word psycho, although outside of his field of expertise also paints him like "not a scientist" cause scientists have a habit of using words in very specific way - hence all the confusion about evolution being called a theory.

He is scientifically illiterate, and worse still, he's plain illiterate cause Brian (the "I don't know who this Shakespeare geezer is") talked in circles around Marc while he sat there and gasped for air

What is with all this X proves Y, Definitive proof of Z titling. Marc is entitled to think Brian was talking nonsense and I agree with his opinion in regards to a lot of what Brian said.

People who work in labs do, and he literally worked in a lab. I have a degree in science. I know many scientists. They will often refer to their specific field, in Marc's case chemistry I believe, but they will also refer to themselves as scientists.

Absolute rubbish For one thing Neanderthals were mostly red headed. That's where the redheaded people's genes come from. They interbred with us humans. Mark is certainly no Neanderthal. That said very many of us have some genetic link to them.

I agree, he's an imposter in the scientific world or at least their biggest disgrace - he's really a male stripper with aspirations. He prances about in jocks - to me that's advertising for non-academic position.
