Of course they aren't real legends, no one is saying that. How many times does this need to be explained? Yes 'legends' are people who have made a positive contribution to the world, humanitarians, people who've fought exploitation, etc etc. No one's denying that or trying to put contestants on a reality show on the same pedestal.

However, in the context of the Big Brother family , it is perfectly possible for there to be 'Big Brother legends', and there are. Much the same as there are music legends such as The Beatles, Queen, Madonna, etc, there can be people who are legends in their own fields as well. You wouldn't put a musical legend on the same level as Nelson Mandela, and it's exactly the same issue here.

I have absolutely no idea what relevance my age has to do with this at all to be honest, but the thinly veiled dig was acknowledged. I could go as far as to say perhaps you're getting too old to watch a show like Big Brother in its current state, but then again I'm not really that much of a fan of what it's become these days either. The point still stands though, how old I am is irrelevant to this discussion.

I agree that this isn't Big Brother anymore, but what can we do? The producers aren't listening to us so really it's a case of put up or shut up - and that's not a dig at you, but all of us. This series has been a shambolic mess of a production and I'm embarrassed at what Big Brother UK has become, but I am embracing what we've been given and as ridiculous as all these visits are, so long as they're picking Big Brother legends (again, there's a difference), I'm pretty happy. And so far, so good.

Stop being so sensitive Jack,it wasn't a thinly veiled dig at all ,I was genuinely curious as I think I have probably outgrown it,which you picked up on in your post,I have thought it is more a younger persons program now, that is why I asked, younger ones seem to enjoy it more and get well into it,I think this one has been pretty dire,it's had a few good moments, but it's a shadow of it's former self.

Well that's not how it came across to me, it looked as if you were saying I must not understand what a 'real legend' is if I'm young. You did after all say it in the middle of a sentence about what constitutes a 'legend', not in the part where you said this isn't Big Brother anymore. But if that's how you meant it, then I guess I have to take your word for it.

You are probably right, and to be honest I think it's targeted at people much younger than I am as well. Or maybe it's because I'm a long term fan and have seen how it's declined in quality, I don't know.
