It was as much Sam's business as it was Cristian's really. Sam's point was that Chloe had calmed down and then Cristian talking about the situation made her annoyed again, so Sam was just trying to stop her getting upset.
I can see why it annoyed Cristian that she butted in, but there was no need for him to snap at her so strongly
