He was evicted because it was a vote to evict, not save. Bitter and jealous fans of the boring drones wanted Marc out because he was getting air time (and rightfully so). They teamed up together because they knew their housemate had no chance to win over Marc.
Imagine if you were the producer of the show and you had your choice of Joel pretending he is morally superior, Harry who is depressing, Nick who follows around a stripper like a puppy dog, Danny and Cristian who have personalities of a vanilla wafer, "woe is me" Chloe, or an entertaining bloke like Marc? Can you blame them for focusing on Marc?
I actually feel sorry for the producers of the show right now, putting together an entertaining hour with these housemates must be like getting you fingernails pulled.
