The least irrelevant in the pool of irrelevance so good choice I guess but they would still do better with Nick as their leader

I like Tim Farron actually but he has his work cut out,if the Lib Dems cannot make any headway at all in winning back that power base they built up in the South West of England particularly, then the Lib Dems are well and truly lost.

I want them to do well, because had they not lost 26 seats to the Conservatives in May, this govt would have never been able to get any kind of overall majority.

Good luck to him and he will really need it.
They also now need Clegg to clear off and clear the Lib Dems of the bad stigma now as to his leadership of them however.

Big of a smug tosser imo. I'll be amazed if the Lib Dems ever recover from this year really, it's not that it's inherently impossible for a party to bounce back from such an election but I'm not sure there's still a place for the Lib Dems in modern British politics where the centre ground dominates and the two main parties have both embraced liberalism

Good one, actually I don't think they even know anymore.

I do still think Clegg should push off out of parliament now, people see him as toxic to the party and with only 8 MPs at present, they will have to have him as a spokesperson on some area as to govt department.

Everytime he says anything, people will still have this distrust of him and that will hinder Farrons' chances of ever re-building.
He should resign his seat and head off to other pastures and quickly too,not to be that toxic distraction for still years to come..
