I'm watching Survivor: China at the minute, I'm at the top 4, I can't get over that Denise is in there considering she's done absolutely nothing all game.
This is the second series that I've watched of Survivor (Gabon being my first) and whilst I think that Gabon was stronger in the Tribe stages, I do think that China takes it to a whole new level once it hits the merge imo. And on a shallow front when you didn't think that they'd be able to beat Sugar and Kelly, they decide to throw out Jaime and Amanda. Although with Amanda her crush on Erik did my head in because she pretended that she wanted to keep him in for “strategy reasons” but she was close to nearly letting Peih Gee and Erik win the whole game with her silly crush, she's just really annoying to me. Anyway here's my overall rankings as I doubt that much will change between now and tomorrow. 1. Jean Robert 2. Todd 3. Dave 4. Courtney 5. Peih Gee 6. Frosti 7. James 8. Ashley 9. Sherea 10. Chicken 11. Leslie 12. Aaron 13. Erik 14. Amanda 15. Jaime 16. Denise Away from about 4 or 5 of them, the others was really strong in this series towards their contribution to the series, and bizarrely still being likeable to me, especially the top 7.

I felt sorry for Peih Gee with how she got treated, though it made for great TV with her and James I felt.

And I agree with you about Peih Gee, maybe it was more of a you had to live in the Tribe sort of thing?

Maybe. I just feel like she always was left out or people barely talked to her about voting off James, Frosti. And Manhanda was kinda r00d to her. Overall I really liked the comeout of the season, but I wish PG and Erik somehow saved themselves. But now PG is in second chances, so she can redeem herself.

Jaime was a decent player if she'd not been targetted.

I think if her tribe was more succesfull at challenges, she could have had a better chance to win, if she entered the merge with majority.

Oh yeah like any Survivor season I'd imagine it's easier when you're in the majority tribe.

But Micronesia (the season after) was when all the blindsides and backstabbing started, mostly because of the Black Widow alliance. Ever since then, tribes don't really matter, cause everyone flips and flops and switches their alliances anyways.

Micronesia sounds like an interesting season, I'll check it out once I've watched a lot of these contestants original stints.
I've got to say that Amanda is one whiny bitch, she's better than Denise but still there was no need to spoil Todd and Courtney wanting to celebrate making the final. And well done to Courtney for speaking the truth about Denise. ![]() And Amanda got slaughtered against Todd and Courtney at the Tribal Council didn't she? ![]()

if you REALLY want to go far back, alliance flopping starts back in Amazon and then truly reached a climax in Pearl Islands. Like, those people really forgot that they were on an island because they were so focused on each other and each round was an incredibly short-lived opportunistic alliance to deal with whoever was labeled to be the biggest threat at the moment. Pearl Islands easily has the most fluid gameplay because no one was in a true power position the whole time, and it kinda bums me out that we're probably never going to have a season quite like that again.
