You also explained that you were saving him to piss a few people off, so it's a pretty fair to assume that you'd do it again

eh, that's just an added bonus. Sam didn't have much of a shelf life in this and could've gone at any time. When God presents you with an opportunity to cut Dan Neal you don't pass that up.
