Default A suggestion

Stop deleting good threads just because mods happen to not like the contents and are afraid of anything resembling any sort of conflict, even when the threads in question are generally (on both sides) good, entertaining and thought provoking. Just a thought.

Alternatively you could stick to the plan and have a forum full of benign, shallow twaddle. It's up to you I suppose. The average IQ has dropped about 50 points in the last 6 months anyway.

Yes, there are plenty of other forums that are less authoritarian, but THIS ONE used to be, and was good. The fact that it's quickly becoming like any other brainless fansite makes me genuinely sad. I like a lot of people here, even people I disagree with, I enjoy their posts and find them interesting, but I'm just not up for investing in discussions only to have them removed without explanation.

I don't even know what happened, but mods rarely give an explanation to deleting threads.

Therein lies the complaint.

I doubt it is only mods that don't like threads, I assume they are deleted due to loads of reports/if people go too far etc

A suggestion.

If you've made a thread like this already and it has been locked by a Mod then don't make another one.

I'm closing this but I'll find out why the thread was deleted and give you a reason when I have it.
