Just because a young man is inexplicably popular doesn't mean it has anything - or much - to do with his looks. Danny's popularity grew from a small established fanbase of minor celebrities he knows getting their own fans to support him, and he gained fans through being seen as the 'nice guy' (see the 'I pretended to marry a dying woman' story one day in). When Marc was in the house, he naturally attracted votes from those who didn't like him - it's often one or the other with the public on these things, especially when the show pushes a rivalry between two (/groups of) people down our throats. See also: Helen and Ashleigh, Perez and Hopkins, ad infinitum.

Are they? Joey and Ash came fourth in their respective shows, Marc and possibly Winston would have won their series if not for VTE, and Jimmy was up against three hugely popular contestants in the middle of a storyline that made him out to be a bully. Ashleigh is overrated, she was good because she was against a vile human being but other than that meh. Dexter is just yuk.

I prefer C4 runner ups tbh(except for Jason,Dave and Siavash), like i said before Glyn and Samanda are my favourites.
