Yep, it won't hurt. I have eaten loads of tinned foods past their sell by dates. I buy tins with good dates though, but am still surprised how time flies and the tins go past the dates. I am only really fussy with tinned fruit incase it ferments too much. Working once as a date checker for foods in a supermarket, I learnt about dates on foods and know many are not harmful past their dates. I just hate the thought of being wasteful with food anyway.

Last time I had food poisoning was off out of date meat I was served at my local wetherspoons

They're a chain usually attached to pubs or hotels. They do everything tbh you're bound to at least like something on there.

We have lots of Harvesters, which seem very similar.

Of course there are Wetherspoonseses in North London. There are loads on that link alone. You only have to walk around a street corner to find one most of the time.
