Well as this isn't suppose to be an episode of Eastenders with “storylines” I think that everyone should be getting different facets of their personality shown in the highlights and not the same side over and over again.

No, the show follows storylines, it has a storyline producer who decides how the footage shown can be aired so it fits a narrative. That's how it works.

Gail is the perfect example as to why a storyline driven highlights doesn't work because she got villainsed for crying and again hating Chloe.

How many people are gonna be villainised for hating Chloe until the public actually click that the problem is Chloe?

Exactly. The poster has an obsessive dislike of Chloe just like Austin has an obsessive love affair with himself.

Gail's problem with Chloe was actually an issue that Gail has with herself.
