It's clear (to me) now that James's friendship with Austin wasn't completely genuine.
Austin is a major dickhead for saying what he said to Janice, don't get me wrong, but James is a dickhead himself for backstabbing his friend. Basically they're both dickheads.

Austin hasn't helped matters by never defending James when Jenna was attacking him. He even joined in with her and they both ganged up on him. This happened twice.
