My point is that people who are GENERALLY all for "free range" thatcherite capitalism (i.e. letting the market / labour force / prices etc. dictate themselves by supply and demand) are now suddenly against the "gentrification" of London, which is just a fancy way of saying that they are against the idea of "normal people" being priced out of London property ownership. Presumably they then want either some control brought over pricing on those properties in those areas, or they would have "normal people" subsidised in living there. Very clear socialism.
All I'm saying is that people can't be all "Tory Tory Tory yay! Strivers yay! Skivers boo! Austerity boner!" on 99% of issues and then complain when exactly the same elitism affects certain other things
