To get away from the depressing drabness and dreariness of these Winter months (and Serious Debates' ) I thought a thread where we can post articles on the paranormal, the supernatural, mysterious, bizzarre, or plain old weird and wonderful would would be enjoyable.

Here's a little item which I came across a while ago which I found interesting:



ABOVE: Elvis lives in a 200 year old Roman ornament, called an acroterion, which is carved in marble on the corner of a sarcophagus dating from the second century AD. If the tip of the nose was not missing, the resemblance would be even more striking -- but this is not the only ancient carving which resembles 'The King' ---

I don't know Niamh, but the photographic evidence is compelling.

Edit: I actually came back to this because the 1875 photo resemblance is as eerie as the Elvis case.

That video has been confirmed as a hoax Mock and the guy inside the 'yeti' suit confessed all. I suppose this fact alone qualifies as weird.

If you have the time, this is a fascinating case.

People started calling 911 about a UFO in Trumbull county, Ohio, USA.... There is over an hour of recorded 911 calls, including the 911 dispatcher not only talking to the witnesses, but also talking to police officers, and even calling the military and local weather monitoring stations.

Remember this is a small town, not a major city, so the police, and 911 operators are not used to getting this much activity.

check it out if you have the time and patience. it's really interesting. The police end up going to investigate, and the police witness it, and also she contacts the weather monitoring radar operator, and he can't explain what he sees on radar. it's some of the most interesting evidence.

It's also funny how at the beginning of it they all joke about UFOs and little green men, but then after a while they start to get more and more serious and realize it's real.

remember this is all real 911 calls, not a hoax, anyone can still get the records of this from the county records. No one knows what the object was, but all of these recordings are actual recordings from the night, in government record.
