Kelsey & Joey were stupid for not leaving their bags in the cab then if they truly were only gone for "35 seconds" (which I don't believe at all since why would you take your bags with you if that was true - which is why I don't believe what they say in the interviews)

Yes because even in the episode Chris said that the driver refused to take them 2 times when they asked.
