Three days later she had a dry birth but she was told that her and her newborn son were fine and sent home the same day. She asked the paediatrician why her son was making a strange noise with his throat but was told that some babies make such noises and it was nothing to worry about.
Two days later her son died in her arms. They called it a cot death but the post mortem showed acute infection which had caused liver, kidney and lung damage. The coroner said it was very likely the cause of her waters breaking early and that his death could of been avoided if staff had taken proper precautions when my sister first reported her waters breaking.
She was advised not to sue but was told, if she decided to go ahead, it would be a case that could take years and the likelihood is, they would just close ranks and nothing would come of it.

That is absolutely horrific. I am truly shocked and saddened to hear that. How is your sister now?
