4 In 4 Out disrupted the entire flow of the series too. It may have shaped up to be a decent series with the original HMs but it wasn't entertaining enough for the vile producers (i.e. there was no one like Marc/Helen shouting at everyone) so they decided to re-do the series which put the final nail in the coffin.
