I didn't watch Jims series nor do I know much about the guy but I think this may be part of the issue.
As for the OP. I think Winstons speech was a load of waffle. He could have used it to explain a bit but no, he went off on a tangent about irrelevant stuff then told the others to put their hands up (!) to ask questions. I don't think the issue was that he was against gay adoption, more the child abuse comment..whcih is understandable.
Davids 'ANYONE should be able to adopt' amused me slightly though....anyone? Really?

Everyone seems to be forgetting the homophobic slurs in his VT? Asks his chance to put the adoption thing down as paper talk. Instead he proudly admitted it and refused to back down. Regardless of his ignorant election campaign, his behaviour and attitude is unacceptable.
