The suggestion that
"many gay and lesbian singles and couples who would like to adopt a child in the UK report that they are not treated the same as heterosexual applicants" is hearsay unless we know who they are. Anecdotal evidence is worthless. If people
are being treated differently on the grounds of their sexual orientation I'm shocked there isn't a queue of lawyers jostling each other to take a case which is so clear cut.
