Glasses have become fashionable lately and many celebrities wear them however these designer galsses cost £200+ and the majority of people who wear them don't actually need them. Personally I don't mind glasses but I prefer girls who don't wear them but that's just personal taste. It's more about personality. It's a common known stereotype that wearing glasses make you "ugly", but as is the case with most stereotypes they are not always true.

1) How do you deal with people who do call you or your friends/family "Four-Eyes?"

It's damn right out of order. Makes me feel so small and only recently it has stopped. Since I've changed the way I dress etc.

2) Do you hate wearing Glasses because of the way some people think?

At the end of the day it's their loss. If they can't look past the glasses then they're shallow. Alot of girls say I suit wearing them. Alot of girls say I suit not wearing them. So I'm not fussed anymore.

3) Is Contact-Lenses the only way really?

Due to a stigmatisum it's extremely difficult to find the right contacts for my eyes..so glasses it is.

4) Do you feel less than someone who doesn't have to wear Glasses?

Not at all really.

5) Are Girls & Guys who wear Glasses a turn off or a turn on?

Turn. ON! in most cases.

I wear glasses, nobody says anything to me, It isn't really an issue these days, since glasses have become somewhat fashionable.

I wear glasses to drive, but they are very very cool D&G glasses. I htink the issue is when someone wears glasses that they obviously dont suit or are nasty looking it draws attention to their faces more.

I wouldnt be unkind enough as to call someone names for wearing glasses nor would I judge them as a person or let it put me off someone. After all they are not part of a person.

1) I find the term "Four-Eyes" an insult, I wore glasses all the time for 14 years before I got contact lenses and unfortunately people called me that at school which I hated. My mum was the same as me and wore glasses but she was older when she got them so didn't put up with that many taunts and I couldn't imagine her not wearing glasses until she got contact lenses. A few people I know occasionally wear glasses for reading etc and don't get that kind of comment.

2) Yes, there have been times when I've felt conspicuous, for example when looking back on old photos of myself and saying "No wonder everyone picked on me". If I'm going out and know that people will be looking at me and I'm likely to want to make an effort with my appearance then it's contact lenses or nothing because I know people will look at me, see the glasses and judge me on that.

3) Yes, I do a lot more with my looks when I'm wearing contact lenses, there are several hairstyles that I won't even attempt when wearing my glasses but don't think twice about with contact lenses. I also tend to dress differently with my contact lenses - today I've got my lenses in and look good cos I'm wearing a strappy top and have my hair up. I probably wouldn't have made much of an effort with my hair, for example, if I'd been wearing glasses today.

4) Not now I don't wear them that much, but when I wore them all the time I felt singled out as one of the few glasses wearers in my class at school (and the only one in my tutor group at secondary school who wore them!) and that contributed to my feelings of being isolated. When my mum started wearing her contact lenses and I was the only glasses wearer in the house I even felt the odd one out in the family.

5)I go for personality rather than looks, glasses don't even come into the equation!

glasses are really sexy on a girl when she peers over the top of them....not sure what it is about that but it gets my attention.
